Saudi National Team Camp Relocation
The management of the Saudi national team has decided to relocate the team's camp scheduled for November from Dammam to Jeddah, in preparation for participating in the Arab Cup set to take place in Qatar next December.
Sources have indicated that this decision was made after the commencement of winter planting operations in several stadiums in Dammam, rendering them unfit to host the team's training at the scheduled time for the camp.
The Saudi sports newspaper confirmed that the administrative and technical staff of the national team made the decision to head to Jeddah to ensure a suitable training environment that allows for the implementation of the preparatory program without logistical or technical obstacles.
During the camp in Jeddah, the Saudi Green is set to play two friendly matches as part of the preparation plan for the upcoming tournament, with the identities of the competing teams to be announced within the next 48 hours after signing the official contracts.
The head coach aims to utilize this camp to prepare the players physically and technically before entering the official competitions, especially after the outstanding performance the team demonstrated in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The Saudi national team has secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup following a goalless draw with Iraq and then a victory over Indonesia with a score of three goals to two in the Asian playoff, continuing its continental journey confidently towards the upcoming competitions.
