The Australian Federation Grants the Green Light for the Milan vs. Como Match in Perth
Friday 24-10-2025
The Australian Football Federation has officially approved hosting the match between Milan and Como as part of the Italian league in the city of Perth during February 2026, according to what was revealed by the "Football Italia" website.

The report clarified that the Australian Federation sent an official letter to FIFA confirming its approval to hold the match, which is set to take place on February 7 or 8, 2026, due to the San Siro Stadium being occupied with preparations for the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games.

Despite this approval, the decision has not yet been finalized, as it awaits the approval of both the Asian Football Confederation and FIFA to complete the official procedures.

The report indicated that the situation of the Milan vs. Como match is similar to what happened in Spain regarding the attempt to hold the Villarreal vs. Barcelona match in Miami, which faced objections from players and fans. However, the report believes that the situation is different in Italy, as the Italian League Association and the two clubs submitted the request, which increases the chances of holding the match in Perth.
