Yurtchich Refuses Short-Term Coaching of Al Ahly
The Croatian coach of Pyramids, Krunoslav Yurtchich, confirmed that he rejects the idea of taking on the coaching role at Al Ahly for a short period.
Yurtchich said during the program "Ya Masaa Al Anwar" on MBC Masr 2 channel: "If I had been offered to coach Al Ahly temporarily during their participation in the last Club World Cup, I would not have accepted, because it is a short duration and does not give the coach a real opportunity to work and achieve clear goals."
He added: "I appreciate all the players in the Egyptian league, but if I had the chance to sign players from Egypt, I would choose from Al Ahly Imam Ashour, and from Zamalek Hossam Abdel-Meguid or Nabil Emad Dunga, as they are players with strong personalities on the field."
Yurtchich revealed the toughest coach he has faced, saying: "Marcel Koller, the former Al Ahly coach, is one of the toughest coaches I have encountered; he is a great coach and had strong support."
