Officially.. Wydad Announces Signing of Hakim Ziyech
The Moroccan club Wydad Athletic Club announced in an official statement, moments ago, that it has signed winger Hakim Ziyech to bolster the team's attacking line in a free transfer.
Ziyech is 32 years old and had left Qatari club Al-Duhail before the start of the current season, which allowed him to join Wydad on a free transfer.
Wydad shared a photo of the Moroccan star on its X platform account and wrote: "Long awaited.. Hakim Ziyech is at Wydad."
The Moroccan international was previously linked to transfers to several European clubs, most notably Sevilla and Elche in Spain, as well as Club Brugge in Belgium, but negotiations did not succeed before Wydad intervened directly to sign him.
Ziyech's professional career includes a distinguished European experience, having played for clubs like Ajax Amsterdam, Chelsea, and Galatasaray before moving to Al-Duhail.
