Al-Ahli Jeddah snatched a valuable victory from its host Al-Najma with a score of one goal to none, in the match that brought the two teams together on Thursday evening at Al-Najma Club Stadium, as part of the sixth round of the Saudi Roshen Professional League.

The match's only goal was scored by striker Firas Al-Buraikan in the 34th minute, after a successful follow-up inside the penalty area, granting Al-Ahli three precious points that brought the team back to the winning path after a series of fluctuating results.

The match witnessed attacking attempts from both teams, with the referee disallowing two goals for offside, the first for Al-Ahli player Franck Kessie in the 49th minute, and the second for Al-Najma's Nasser Al-Halil in the 44th minute, after reviewing the video technology.

Al-Ahli dominated the match proceedings with 59% possession, compared to 41% for the home team, while Al-Ahli players shot 14 times on goal compared to only 4 for Al-Najma, while the match saw 17 fouls against Al-Ahli and 10 against the home team.

With this result, Al-Ahli raised its tally to 12 points, advancing in the Saudi Roshen League standings, while Al-Najma continued to anchor the bottom of the table without any points after six rounds, remaining in a precarious position before its upcoming matches.
