The British newspaper 'The Sun' reported that Carlos Baliba, a midfielder for Brighton, had private discussions with the team's coach Fabian Hürtzler, amid ongoing links with Manchester United.

The report clarified that Baliba, who is 21 years old, has experienced a decline in his form this season following the summer interest from the Red Devils, as he had to leave the field at halftime in three matches, and his fitness and confidence were affected after a knee injury hindered his preparations for the new season.

The newspaper confirmed that the player has started to gradually regain his form, as he delivered a notable performance in Brighton's last two matches against Wolverhampton and Newcastle, helping the team secure a 2-1 victory against Newcastle, expressing his happiness after the match on Instagram by saying: 'Good collective win, I feel like I'm back to my best again.'

Despite his improved form, rumors about his future remain, with the report indicating that Manchester United is still interested in signing him after failing last summer to meet Brighton's financial demands, while his Cameroonian teammate, Bryan Mbeumo, encourages him to consider a move to Old Trafford as a logical step for his career.
