Manchester United Shows Interest in Barcelona Striker

Spanish newspaper 'Sport' revealed that Manchester United has expressed interest in signing Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, a player for Barcelona, as his contract nears its end and his future with the Catalan team remains unclear.

The newspaper clarified that Lewandowski's contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the current season, and the club does not plan to renew it, which means the player could leave on a free transfer next summer, and the player himself prefers to stay in Europe for at least one more season and has started to consider the offers presented to him.

According to the report, Manchester United sees the Polish star as an ideal opportunity in the transfer market, especially since coach Ruben Amorim considers him a strong addition that could enhance the team's attacking capabilities, alongside young striker Benjamin Sesko, who recently joined from Leipzig for 76 million euros.

The newspaper added that Barcelona's management will not make a final decision regarding Lewandowski's future until the end of the season, as the next step depends on his physical condition and scoring performance during the remaining period.

Meanwhile, the player's agent, Pini Zahavi, is listening to offers from other European clubs, including Italian Milan, while Lewandowski rules out a move to the Saudi league despite the tempting offers he has received there.

The report confirms that Barcelona is aware of the significant interest in Lewandowski in the market, but will not proceed with renewing his contract unless he maintains his physical readiness and high scoring record, and in the event of his departure, the club will look for a suitable attacking replacement despite the financial constraints it currently faces.
