Liverpool star Hugo Ekitike spoke in press statements after the 5-1 victory over Frankfurt in the third round of the Champions League group stage, at Deutsche Bank Park.

The former Frankfurt player said: "It felt amazing to come back here, returning home was special. Winning and scoring my first goal in the Champions League here was very important. I stay calm."

Regarding his first start alongside Alexander Isak: "I think it was a good start. We can improve together, he is a great player, we need to work together and find a good partnership together."

On the reason for his quick adaptation: "I have great teammates and a fantastic coaching staff, and I love my life here. I hope to continue because it’s about consistency in football. I feel very good, and they have helped me a lot, which is why I am calm and doing my best."
