Bayern Munich May Sign Schlotterbeck Like Lewandowski
German newspaper "Sport Bild" revealed a scenario that could occur regarding the future of German international defender Nico Schlotterbeck, star of Borussia Dortmund.
According to the report, Bayern Munich has shown interest in the player, and other major clubs in Europe are monitoring the situation of the distinguished defender, who has a contract with his club until the summer of 2027.
Schlotterbeck, the 25-year-old former Freiburg player, wants to wait for what will happen in the talks in the new year before making a decision about extending his contract with Borussia Dortmund.
The report noted that if the club sees that its sporting goals are at risk due to selling Schlotterbeck, it would be willing to take the risk of keeping him until the last year of his contract, just as it did with Robert Lewandowski in 2013, before the latter joined Bayern Munich a year later on a free transfer.
