Tuesday 21-10-2025
Barcelona continues to write record numbers in the Champions League, this time through its young star Dru Fernandez, who made history after participating against Olympiacos from Greece in the third round of the group stage.

According to the statistics network "Opta", Dru Fernandez became the second youngest player to assist a goal in his debut in the Champions League, at the age of 17 years and 282 days, coming behind Giovanni Reyna, who achieved the same feat with Borussia Dortmund in February 2020 when he was 17 years and 97 days old.

The match saw a clear brilliance from Barcelona's young players, as the first half ended with the Catalan team leading by two goals to nil, scored by Fermín López, with the second goal assisted by Dru, confirming the team's strong presence despite relying on a lineup considered one of the youngest in the club's history in the European competition.

With this performance, Barcelona, led by coach Hans Flick, continues to bet on youth, at a time when Fernandez, Yamal, and the rest of the rising generation prove that they are the future of the team in continental competitions.
