Historic Superiority of Al Hilal over Qatari Clubs in the AFC Champions League
Tuesday 21-10-2025
The Saudi Al Hilal team has made a remarkable presence in its encounters against Qatari clubs throughout its history in the AFC Champions League, having played 41 matches against them so far, achieving 23 victories, with a win rate of nearly 60%.

Al Hilal is preparing for a new match against Qatar's Al Sadd on Tuesday, as part of the third round of the group stage in the current edition of the tournament, in a match through which it aims to continue its historical superiority over Qatari teams.

In the previous 14 encounters against Al Sadd, Al Hilal emerged victorious in seven matches, while losing three and drawing four, reflecting its relative superiority against one of Qatar's top clubs.

The leader also faced its counterpart Al Rayyan in 11 occasions, during which it managed to win seven times, with only two losses and two draws, confirming its clear dominance in most of those encounters.

Against Al Gharafa, Al Hilal played seven matches, winning five, losing one, and drawing another, while it faced Al Duhail eight times, winning four, drawing three times, and suffering one loss.

On the other hand, Al Hilal did not succeed in its only match against Umm Salal, where it lost, leaving that encounter as the only exception in its positive record against Qatari teams in the continental tournament.
