Monday 20-10-2025
The international right-back Saud Abdulhamid has made his decision regarding his professional future, confirming his intention to continue his journey in Europe and not return to the Saudi league during the upcoming winter transfer period.

Sources close to the player revealed, through the program "Malai'" broadcast on Al Arabiya FM, that Saud Abdulhamid's surroundings prefer his continuation in the European professional experience with the French team Lens at least until the end of the current season.

Several reports had recently suggested the possibility of Saud Abdulhamid returning to Saudi Arabia in January, amid interest from major clubs like Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad, with a possibility of him returning again to his former club Al-Hilal.

Saud Abdulhamid joined AS Roma in the summer of 2024 from Al-Hilal in a deal that extended for four years, before temporarily moving to the French league to represent Lens on loan during the current season.

The player has participated in six matches with Lens in the French league so far, with a total of only 92 minutes played, during which he managed to assist one goal, amid expectations of increased participation in the upcoming period.

Saud Abdulhamid hopes that his experience in Europe will contribute to the development of his technical and physical level, allowing him to return stronger in the future, whether at the club level or with the Saudi national team in upcoming competitions.
