Real Madrid player Fede Valverde spoke in a press conference following the tough victory over Getafe with a score of 1-0 in the ninth round of the Spanish league at the Coliseum.

The player said: "It’s a very important win. We knew it would be very tough, but our defensive and offensive performance was excellent. They are a very good team, defending brilliantly and attacking at times. We were very alert. The substitute players performed wonderfully, showing that the team is still in good shape."

He added: "They are a very strong team, always competing for European qualification, and there’s a reason for that. They are very balanced, and everyone knows what they have to do. They put in a lot of defensive effort, which can mentally tire you out, but with our attackers, we showed the patience we needed."

He continued: "What does Xabi ask of you? Try to communicate with the winger playing with me, play one-twos, don’t stand still, always push forward. We tried hard to advance from the left; we studied that well, and with Viní, we created more chances."

Regarding Kylian Mbappé: "We will enjoy the match, and we will provide him with more assists, letting him enjoy himself with the other attackers. We will keep him close to the opponent's goal."

He concluded about the upcoming matches: "It’s important to rest after this tough match; this is the week everyone is looking forward to. Let’s enjoy the Champions League - it will be a great night - and prepare for the crucial match against Barcelona."
