Jesús: The League is More Important than the AFC Champions League for Al-Nassr
The Portuguese Jorge Jesús, the head coach of Al-Nassr, confirmed that the league title is more important than the AFC Champions League for him, noting that there are players in Al-Nassr who have not won the league for 3 or 4 years.
Jesús said during the press conference: "If I were given the choice between the elite and the league, I would choose the league. We have distinguished Saudi players, such as Ayman Yahya, Abdulilah Al-Amri, Nawaf Boushal, and others who support Al-Nassr and the national team."
He added: "Abdullah Al-Khaibari is a distinguished player and one of the best in Saudi football. As for Al-Khaibari, he is a smart player, strong defensively, and physically ready through his participation with the national team."
When asked about his lack of smiles during matches, the Portuguese coach replied: "I will smile when Al-Nassr wins the championship and we lift the cup at the end of the season."
He continued: "The goal scored by Al-Fateh against us is noted, and we are working correctly match after match. Returning from a break is always difficult; Al-Nassr was physically ready. In the second half, we worked a lot and achieved the most important thing: the victory."
He concluded his statements: "A beautiful win, and we scored five goals. Anyone who sees the result would say it was easy; however, the black point in the match is the injury to Brozović, and we hope it is a minor muscle injury."
