The police team continues its serious preparations to face the Saudi Al-Ittihad club in the Asian Champions League for elite teams, in a match expected to be one of the highlights of the tournament due to the strength of both teams and their great ambition to achieve a positive result that brings them closer to qualifying for the next round.

The media coordinator for the police club, Atheer Al-Shuwaily, stated in remarks made to Al-Rabia Sports Channel:

"The police team is continuing its preparations for the match against Al-Ittihad Saudi team in the Asian Champions League for elite teams, and the preparations are proceeding according to the plans set by the technical staff despite the current international break."

Al-Shuwaily added: "The team has played two friendly matches during the international break, aiming to maintain the physical and technical readiness of the players, and to prepare them in the best possible way before the important match that awaits us against Al-Ittihad."

He pointed out that all players are fully ready for the anticipated match, explaining: "Except for the striker Salem Ahmed, who is still undergoing medical rehabilitation, and it is expected that he will be ready to return before the match date, after successfully completing his treatment program."

Al-Shuwaily continued: "The technical staff of the team, led by the current coaching staff, has clarified the points and focused on correcting some technical mistakes that appeared in previous matches, and everyone within the club aspires to achieve a positive result that befits the name of the police and the history of Iraqi football."
