Barcelona managed to snatch a valuable victory against Girona in the match held at Montjuïc Stadium as part of the ninth round of the 2025/2026 Spanish league, with a score of 2-1.

Barcelona opened the scoring through the brilliant Spanish star Pedri in the 12th minute with a wonderful shot that found the net, but Girona quickly bounced back and scored the equalizer in the 20th minute with a stunning bicycle kick from player Axel Witsel.

Barcelona continued to press Girona's goal with several opportunities until the players of the Blaugrana succeeded in scoring the winning goal in the 90+3 minute through defender Ronald Araújo after a brilliant pass from Dutch star Frenkie de Jong.

With this victory, Barcelona raised its points to 22 at the top of the Spanish league table, while Girona remained stuck at 6 points in 19th place.
