Barcelona faces a new attacking crisis ahead of the Girona match in the Catalan derby, after the confirmation of Ferran Torres's absence due to a recurrence of his muscular injury, joining the list of absentees that includes Ter Stegen, Juan Garcia, Dani Olmo, Raphinha, and Lewandowski, according to the Spanish newspaper "Sport".

The newspaper clarified that German coach Hans Flick is considering deploying Englishman Marcus Rashford in the center-forward position number 9, despite his preference to play on the wing, in order to compensate for the shortage in the front line.

Sport added that Flick is also contemplating a surprise by utilizing Alejandro Balde in the left wing position, which is an option he has recently tested during training, while Rony Bardhi is close to starting on the right side.

In midfield, Flick does not intend to rest Pedri despite the congested match schedule, while he is weighing between deploying Pedro in the playmaker role or involving Marc Casado in the pivot position.

As for the defense, the team is complete, with competition between Koundé and Eric Garcia on the right side, and the possibility of relying on the duo Araujo and Koubarsi in central defense.
