Manchester United Prepares Offer to Sign Retegui
Friday 17-10-2025
Manchester United is planning to bolster its attacking line during the upcoming winter transfer market by signing Italian striker Matteo Retegui, currently playing for Al-Qadisiyah in Saudi Arabia, for 60 million euros, according to the "Fichajes" website.

The source explained that Manchester United's management sees Retegui as the ideal option to strengthen the attack under coach Ruben Amorim, given his high scoring ability and previous experience in European leagues.

Retegui shone during his time at Atalanta in Italy during the 2024/2025 season, where he participated in 49 matches, scoring 28 goals and providing 9 assists, becoming the top scorer in Serie A with 25 goals before moving to Al-Qadisiyah in a record deal that made him one of the most expensive Italian players.

The report mentioned that Manchester United's task will not be easy, as Al-Qadisiyah signed the player for 68 million euros and has him under contract until 2028, making his departure in the winter a complicated matter unless an enticing offer reaches both the club and the player.

Manchester United's interest in Retegui comes as part of the management's plan to enhance the team's attacking strength in preparation for the second half of the season and to compete in various domestic and continental tournaments.
