Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" confirmed that FC Barcelona announced in an official medical statement the absence of striker Ferran Torres from the match against Girona scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, at the Montjuïc Stadium, as part of the ninth round of La Liga, due to his ongoing suffering from muscle pain in his left hamstring.

The club explained in its statement that the player's absence is a precautionary measure, after he returned from the international break with a muscle strain, and therefore did not participate in the team's training today, Friday, at the Joan Gamper sports city.

The newspaper added that the duo Lamine Yamal and Fermín López have returned to group training normally, and they are expected to receive medical clearance to participate against Girona, while Pedri has also become ready after recovering from his physical issues.

Coach Hans Flick faces an injury crisis within the team, as he is also missing the services of Robert Lewandowski, Dani Olmo, Raphinha, Gavi, and Ter Stegen, at a time when Barcelona is preparing for a series of tough matches in La Liga and the Champions League.
