Sayed Abdel Hafiz Takes Over Football Sector Management
Mamdouh El Khatib, the president of Al Ahly Club, officially announced the assignment of the football management file at Al Ahly to Sayed Abdel Hafiz, who is a candidate for the club's board of directors, confirming that this step comes in appreciation of his long history and great dedication to serving the club.
El Khatib said during the first electoral seminar for his list at the Sheikh Zayed branch: "Sayed Abdel Hafiz has known the roots of the club since he was a young boy in the youth teams; he knows the principles and foundations of Al Ahly and has been raised on them and is instilling them in future generations. Sayed has been a football manager for a long time and has been very dedicated to his work."
He added: "Sayed Abdel Hafiz's capabilities now allow him to contribute significantly to decision-making and taking it, not just executing it. Today, his vast experience enables him to make decisions and follow up on their implementation. His role in the coming period is very important, and the truth is that football is managed every day, and I cannot manage it every day. Sayed will be able to, God willing."
Al Ahly is preparing to face Eagle Noir next Saturday in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.
