Yaissle Settles on Replacement for Ibanez Against Al-Shabab
Thursday 16-10-2025
The German coach Matthias Yaissle, the head coach of Al-Ahli Saudi Club, has selected player Mohammed Suleiman to be the most suitable replacement in defense for the anticipated match against Al-Shabab, as part of the fifth round of the Roshan Saudi League.

Sources from the newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" indicated that Yaissle decided to rely on Suleiman after confirming the absence of Brazilian defender Roger Ibanez, who sustained an injury during recent training sessions.

Ibanez will miss participation in the awaited match, as he is currently undergoing an intensive treatment program supervised by the club's medical staff after suffering an injury to his ankle during the international break.

The sources confirmed that the injured player has not participated in any training sessions since the team returned from vacation last Sunday, prompting the coaching staff to prepare Mohammed Suleiman to lead the defense alongside his teammates in the upcoming match.

Mohammed Suleiman has shown impressive performances since the start of the season, having participated in 5 official matches with Al-Ahli and successfully scoring one goal, which has increased the coaching staff's confidence in his abilities.

Al-Ahli currently occupies the seventh position in the Saudi Professional League standings with 8 points after four rounds, and they are seeking to achieve a new victory to strengthen their position in the top ranks.
