Thursday 16-10-2025
Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' revealed the continued progress in the construction of the third tier at Spotify Camp Nou, where Limak Company has made significant progress on the side of the stadium over the past few days.

The newspaper reported that the foundations at the bottom of the tier have been completed, which will serve as the base for the seats in the future, and some structural blocks have reached the highest point of the tier, leaving only the dome that will cover the stadium.

The newspaper added that work on this side will continue for several more days before moving on to the construction of the third tier on the northern side, then the southern side, and finally the box area.

The newspaper also clarified that Barcelona is still waiting to obtain the 1A license from the city municipality, which will allow part of the stadium to open with a capacity of about 27,000 spectators, but the club prefers to wait until obtaining the 1B license that will raise the capacity to about 45,000 fans, amid optimism that the issuance of the second license will be a matter of time after the first.

The report confirmed that Barcelona will play its next two home matches against Girona and Olympiacos at Montjuïc Stadium, and will host Elche, Athletic Bilbao, and Alavés in November, with the latter match possibly coinciding with the 126th anniversary of the club's founding.
