Officials from the Egyptian football club Pyramids are set to hold a meeting with their Moroccan player Walid El Karti in the coming days to discuss the renewal of his contract, which expires at the end of the current season.

Reports have revealed that the management of the African champions has opened the file for extending El Karti's contract in the upcoming period, aiming to secure his continued presence with the team, especially after he received several foreign offers recently.

The source indicated that Pyramids' management will begin official negotiations with the player after the African Super Cup match against Moroccan club Renaissance Berkane, noting that the club has allocated a significant financial amount to persuade the Moroccan star to renew his contract, given his essential role in coach Christian Gross's lineup.

El Karti, a native of Khouribga and a former player of Wydad Casablanca, is considered a key pillar in Pyramids' system since joining the team, contributing to their winning several local and continental titles, and has become one of the standout midfield players in the Egyptian league.
