Shobeir Reveals a Crisis in Saudi Football
Media figure Ahmed Shobeir spoke about the crisis facing Saudi football recently.
Shobeir said in radio statements: "The Saudi national team has a problem represented by the increase in the number of foreigners, which has greatly affected the level of Al-Akhdar."
He added: "I hope there will be a decision that the number of Saudi players on the field during league matches does not drop below 6 for each team."
He continued: "There are a large number of names that participate primarily with the Saudi national team, while not participating with their clubs in the league, which is a technical crisis."
He concluded: "The Saudi national team's results have been affected in the past period until the re-signing of French coach Hervé Renard."
