Saudi Arabia celebrated its national team's qualification for the 2026 World Cup in an atmosphere filled with pride and joy, as celebrations filled the squares and streets in delight over this historic achievement, marking the seventh in the Green team's World Cup journey.

Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Minister of Defense, extended his congratulations to the leadership and the Saudi people via his account on the 'X' platform, emphasizing that this qualification embodies the spirit of national determination, concluding his message by saying: 'Congratulations to our national team and our great nation.'

Turki Al Sheikh, the Chairman of the Entertainment Authority, expressed his happiness at the qualification and reposted a tweet from the media figure Khaled Al Jassim showing Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad in a symbolic reference to the shared joy of Saudi and Qatari fans after both teams qualified for the World Cup together.

For his part, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari said in an emotional tweet: 'This is how the story of the Green team is written, and this is how the story of the nation is narrated… A thousand congratulations to a leadership that believed, to victorious youth, and to a people who know no impossible.'

Meanwhile, Badr Al Askar, Director of the Private Office of the Crown Prince, pointed out that this achievement was the result of the leadership's support and the players' determination, stating: 'A new Saudi flight in the sky of the world with our Green Falcons reaching the World Cup.'
