Media figure Ahmed Shobair, a former star of Al-Ahly, announced the organization of a tribute ceremony for Emad Al-Nahhas, the former interim head coach of the red team, in appreciation of his efforts before his departure.

Shobair stated in television remarks: "The tribute ceremony will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, in recognition of the significant efforts that Al-Nahhas exerted during the past period, after he temporarily took over the team's leadership following the departure of coach Jose Ribeiro."

The Iraqi Al-Zawraa Club had announced its contract with Emad Al-Nahhas to manage the first football team.

The official statement from Al-Zawraa Club mentioned: "The administration indicated that this contract came after a careful and thorough study by the Board of Directors to choose the most suitable name to lead the leader of Iraqi football in the upcoming and important phase on both local and Asian levels."
