Icardi Approaches Return to Serie A
Monday 13-10-2025
The Argentine striker Mauro Icardi is nearing a return to Serie A, as he has become a target for Torino, which has already begun to explore the possibility of signing him in the near future, according to the website "Fichajes."

The site clarified that Torino's management has initiated preliminary communications with representatives of the Galatasaray star to understand his stance on returning to Italy, especially with his contract set to expire next June.

The report indicated that the deal could take place during the upcoming summer transfer window, although there is a possibility for it to be executed in January if a suitable financial agreement is reached between the two parties, especially since Galatasaray might welcome his departure to alleviate the high salary burdens within the team.

Icardi continues to shine in Turkey, having scored five goals in seven league matches this season, making him an attractive target for Torino, which is struggling with a clear offensive weakness due to the decline in its strikers' performance and the absence of Duvan Zapata due to injury.

The same source added that the 32-year-old player does not oppose the idea of returning to Italy, a country that witnessed his greatest success while playing for Inter Milan and Sampdoria, confirming that his return would represent a new step in his career with a clear desire to regain his brilliance in Serie A.
