The site "Fichajes" revealed that Austrian star David Alaba is living his final months at Real Madrid, as his contract with the team ends next June, amid strong indications of his departure and potential return to the Bundesliga, where he previously shone with Bayern Munich.

Since joining Real Madrid in 2021, Alaba has delivered impressive performances thanks to his experience and defensive versatility; however, a series of injuries, notably an ACL tear in December 2023, negatively affected his participation over the past two seasons, causing him to fall in the defender rankings within the team in favor of names like Militao and Rudiger.

According to "Fichajes", the player is considering a return to the Bundesliga, with Hoffenheim being one of the options on the table, especially since he played there on loan in the 2010/2011 season and left a good impression. This option represents a return to the roots for the Austrian star, who made a name for himself in German football.

The report added that Real Madrid's management does not intend to renew Alaba's contract, in light of the club's plans to restructure the back line and rely on younger players. Meanwhile, issues of fitness and his high salary remain significant obstacles to a potential move to a German club.
