The Reason Behind Bologna Star's Rejection of Al-Hilal's Offer
Argentinian striker Santiago Castro, the star of Italian Bologna, spoke about the reason for rejecting Al-Hilal's offer during the last summer transfer window.
The player stated in his remarks to "La Gazzetta dello Sport": "Yes, I received an offer from Al-Hilal, but I decided to reject it because I want to continue in Bologna to complete my career here. This is the place where I aspire to return to my national team, and perhaps achieve my biggest dream of participating in the World Cup."
Regarding the news linking him to a move to Chelsea in England, Castro said: "All I thought about was Bologna. I feel happy because I achieved my dream of playing here. In Bologna, you enjoy football, and when you enjoy it, everything becomes better."
Al-Hilal was interested in signing Castro as part of the foreign-born players category this season, as the Argentinian striker is only 21 years old.
