Friday 10-10-2025
Reports have revealed that Bayern Munich has included German defender Nico Schlotterbeck, a player for Borussia Dortmund, among its interests to strengthen the defense in the upcoming period, according to the website 'Fichajes.'

The report indicated that Schlotterbeck, who is contracted with Borussia Dortmund until 2027, is at a crucial point in his career, amid increasing speculation about the possibility of his departure in the summer of 2026, especially with major clubs like Barcelona and Bayern Munich interested in signing him.

According to the same source, Borussia Dortmund's management is seeking to extend the player's contract until 2030 with a salary increase, in an attempt to convince him to stay; however, the German defender has not made his decision yet, preferring to wait until the end of the season.

Bayern Munich believes that Schlotterbeck possesses the required attributes to strengthen the team's defense, thanks to his physical abilities and skill in building play from the back. However, the club is aware that signing him will require complex negotiations with Dortmund's management, which refuses to part with one of its star players easily.

The report added that Schlotterbeck's future will largely depend on Dortmund's performance in the coming months, as results may pave the way for his departure to a club with greater ambitions in winning titles, given the clear interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona in his services.
