Newcastle Considering Signing Alexander Sørloth
Thursday 09-10-2025
Newcastle United is set to make a massive offer of 50 million euros to acquire Norwegian striker Alexander Sørloth from Atletico Madrid, according to the "Fichajes" website.

According to the same source, Newcastle aims to strengthen its attacking line during the upcoming winter transfer window, especially after Swedish striker Alexander Isak's departure to Liverpool, as the club sees Sørloth as the ideal replacement to lead the front line in the Premier League.

Sørloth, who is 29 years old, has faced limited participation this season under coach Diego Simeone, despite delivering impressive performances during the minutes he has played, including his standout display in the Madrid derby against Real Madrid, which caught the attention of Newcastle scouts present at the match.

The same source clarified that Atletico Madrid may consider the English offer if it reaches 50 million euros, given that Sørloth's contract with the club extends until 2028, which gives the Spanish team a strong position in negotiations.

Sørloth is considered one of the top strikers with physical strength and attacking presence inside the penalty area, qualities that make him a suitable choice for the style of play in the Premier League, while Newcastle believes that signing him would be an important strategic deal to strengthen the team in the second half of the season.
