Mohamed Salah, the player for the Egyptian national team and Liverpool FC, has etched his name in gold with the Pharaohs' victory today over Djibouti with a score of three goals to nil in the ninth round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Mohamed Salah has taken the lead as the top scorer in the African qualifiers for the World Cup with 20 goals, two goals ahead of Cameroon’s Samuel Eto'o, Ivory Coast’s Didier Drogba, and Algeria’s Islam Slimani.

It is noteworthy that Mohamed Salah scored a brace today against Djibouti, leading the Egyptian national team to the World Cup for the fourth time in its history.

The Egyptian national team tops Group A in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup with 23 points and has officially qualified for the World Cup finals.
