Juventus Plans to Sign Bayern Munich Defender
Sunday 07-12-2025
Football Italia revealed that Juventus is considering signing Portuguese defender Raphael Guerreiro from Bayern Munich during the upcoming winter transfer window to strengthen their defense.

According to the source, coach Igor Tudor is looking to reinforce the flanks in his formation, especially after adopting a three-defender system at the back, which has exposed a clear lack of options currently available.

Juventus relies on players like Andrea Cambiaso, Joao Mario, and Juan Cabal in this position, while Weston McKennie and Pierre Kalulu have participated in defensive wings despite their original positions being different.

Football Italia added that Juventus is targeting a low-cost deal to acquire Guerreiro in January, especially since his contract with Bayern Munich expires next June, making his departure in winter a realistic option for the German club to avoid losing him for free.

The 31-year-old Portuguese player has only participated as a substitute in Bundesliga matches this season, and he seems to be out of the Bayern coaching staff's plans, which enhances the chances of his transfer to Turin.

Guerreiro is considered one of the experienced players in Europe, having played 207 matches in the Bundesliga, over 100 matches in Ligue 1, alongside 57 appearances in the UEFA Champions League, with the ability to play in several positions, including midfield.
