Yamal Aiming for Return Before El Clasico Against Real Madrid

Spanish newspaper 'Marca' reported that young star Lamine Yamal is racing against time to return to the pitch and participate with Barcelona in the El Clasico against Real Madrid, scheduled for October 26, after his condition has shown significant improvement in recent days.

The newspaper clarified that Barcelona's medical staff is working at full capacity to prepare several injured players, including Yamal, Raphinha, Ter Stegen, and Fermín López, noting that all eyes are specifically on Lamine Yamal's recovery.

Coach Hans Flick raised concerns last week when he confirmed that he could not guarantee the player's participation in El Clasico, but Marca confirmed that current indicators suggest he is ready for the match, and he may return before that during the Girona match.

The newspaper added that Yamal is undergoing an intensive rehabilitation program and is expected to return to group training on October 18, making him available to participate against Olympiacos in the Champions League on October 21, and then against Real Madrid in the anticipated El Clasico.

It is worth mentioning that Lamine Yamal did not join the Spanish national team's camp during the current international break after coach Luis de la Fuente decided to exclude him based on a medical report from Barcelona, confirming that he suffered a minor setback in his previous injury.
