Saudi press sources revealed that French coach Hervé Renard, of the Saudi national team, is weighing between Abdul-Ilah Al-Amri and Jihad Dhakri to deploy one of them in defense for the Green Falcons against Indonesia in the playoff qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

According to reports, Renard is preparing both Jihad Dhakri and Abdul-Ilah Al-Amri to potentially use one of them against Indonesia tomorrow.

The reports indicated that the French coach has not yet settled on the identity of the main defender alongside Hassan Tambakti in the Falcons' defense against Indonesia.

The sources concluded that Renard will determine the starting defender from among Jihad Dhakri and Abdul-Ilah Al-Amri during the final training session ahead of the match against Indonesia.
