Media figure Khaled Al-Ghandour responded to critics of the performance of Brazilian player Juan Alvina Bezeira, the star of Zamalek.

Al-Ghandour said on Facebook: "Juan Bezeira, 22 years old, is a very strong player and has the potential for development. Those who try to belittle him after the Al-Ahly match and mock him are actually afraid of the player's abilities and potential."

He continued: "Just like when Zizo was at Zamalek, he was seen as a nobody, an average player and a penalty taker, and now he is a global player, providing 6 assists and scoring goals, and is the best player in Egypt."
