Monday 06-10-2025
The players and staff of Wydad Athletic Club conducted a mass vaccination on Saturday inside the Benjelloun complex in Casablanca, in preparation for participating in the African Confederation Cup 2025/2026, which the team will kick off with a match against Ghana's Ashanti Kotoko.

According to reports, the red team underwent two mandatory vaccinations, the first against yellow fever and the second against meningitis, in compliance with the recommendations of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) regarding the health safety of teams participating in continental competitions.

The medical procedure took place within the club's facilities, under the supervision of a specialized health team, in a well-organized atmosphere, as part of a series of precautionary measures taken by the team before traveling to Ghana.

On another note, the Wydad technical staff has decided to resume training next Tuesday, following a short break granted by the coach to the players after their recent victory over the Meknes club in the fourth round of the professional league.

In this context, player Walid Sabbar continues his recovery journey from a knee injury, with recent medical examinations showing significant improvement, which suggests his return to team training in the coming days, while Wydad is counting on regaining the readiness of all its players before officially entering the continental competitions.
