Monday 06-10-2025
In recent hours, there has been tension between Paris Saint-Germain and the French Football Federation, following the controversy surrounding the health condition of young winger Bradley Barcola.

According to the French newspaper "L'Équipe", Barcola arrived at the French national team camp accompanied by the results of his medical examinations, but left the camp just a few hours later due to injury.

The source added that the French federation indicated in an official statement that Barcola suffers from a chronic thigh injury, which immediately sparked controversy.

Paris Saint-Germain did not delay in responding, as they issued an angry official statement expressing their surprise at the information contained in the national team's statement, saying: "Paris Saint-Germain learned with surprise of the press release published by the French Football Federation on Monday, October 6, regarding the health condition of player Bradley Barcola."

They added: "The information published in this statement does not match at all with the medical information provided by the medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain."

They further stated: "Before the player joined the national team, and after the seventh round match of the French league against Lille, Paris Saint-Germain provided the French team with a medical report on Bradley Barcola that does not indicate any form of chronic injury after the Atalanta match."

They concluded: "Paris Saint-Germain also emphasizes that medical confidentiality must be respected in the interest of all parties."

It is worth mentioning that the French Football Federation announced the call-up of Florian Thauvin instead of Barcola.
