Media figure Ahmed Shobir, a former star of Al Ahly, revealed the truth about a number of Zamalek players filing a complaint against the club to FIFA.

Shobir said in radio statements: "I will tell you what is rumor and what is truth so that things are clear. There is a lot of talk that the foreign players in Zamalek want to file a complaint to FIFA against the club to terminate their contracts."

He added: "We asked at Zamalek and they said this talk is completely untrue and incorrect news, and we have not received any notification from any player about this matter. Hisham Nasr, the club's vice president, provided a loan of 20 million pounds to the club to pay the players' dues from it."

He continued: "I want to tell the Zamalek officials that if this financial crisis exists, the foreign players have left their countries and come for the money. Neither Shiko Banza was born in Zamalek nor Juan Bezerra was born in Mit Okba, and this is their livelihood."

Shobir concluded: "Zamalek must find solutions, and God bless you, not every time we talk to you do you tell us about October land, because this does not concern the players; they just want their money. You find strange things, and they tell you Zamalek is deducting from Shiko Banza. What will they deduct from him? He hasn't received anything in the first place!"
