The Saudi Al-Ahli Club has put Khaled Al-Ghamdi, the president of the institution, in front of two options to maintain his position: either pay 40 million riyals or choose a new president from within or outside the council in the upcoming period.

According to press sources, the management of Al-Ahli Club intends to choose the appropriate person for the presidency if Khaled Al-Ghamdi does not pay the mentioned amount.

Reports indicated that the board of directors of Al-Ahli Club will hold a meeting in the coming weeks to finalize the president's file.

Sources clarified that the company's operations are currently managed by the executive committee headed by Ahmed Al-Shanqeeti.

The sources emphasized that the approved system grants the council the authority to appoint another president if the required financial commitment is not met.

Reports further mentioned that Al-Ghamdi paid the non-profit institution an amount of 1 million and 150 thousand riyals for his membership, which provided him with the necessary votes, while the budget for the board of directors of the non-profit institution is estimated at about 1 million riyals.

His elite membership, along with his membership in the company's board of directors, grants him benefits and allowances totaling around 600 thousand riyals.

The sources concluded that the board of directors has only achieved one goal out of six that fall under its responsibility, which was the nomination of two members, while it has not adhered to the remaining scheduled goals so far.
