In controversial statements, Al-Zawraa Club coach Abdul Ghani Shahid announced his clear stance regarding his continuation with the team, confirming that the continuation of his coaching journey is linked to several necessary conditions according to his technical and administrative vision.

Shahid said during his talk with the media: "I do not wish to continue with Al-Zawraa under the current situation, but if the management wants me to stay, there are three players I see as necessary to exclude from the team, as their continuation will hinder the collective performance and our ability to compete effectively."

He added: "The matter is not personal with any player, but rather a purely technical decision aimed at enhancing the team's level and achieving positive results that befit the name of Al-Zawraa and its loyal fans. The team has many outstanding elements, but the presence of these three players in the squad creates significant challenges in implementing the required tactical plans."

Shahid explained that these statements come after reviewing the overall performance of the team in previous matches, especially after the loss to Al-Nassr Saudi in the AFC Champions League 2, and the local league results that did not meet the aspirations of the White Swans fans: "I am committed to bringing out the best version of the team, and if a suitable environment and full support from the management are not available, it is better for me to leave the task to another coach capable of delivering what is required."

Shahid pointed out that his main focus has always been on working with players capable of making a difference, adding: "The team has distinguished players who can make a difference, and any change in our ranks should be in favor of the technical interest of the club."
