The Air Force decisively won the Iraqi football classic with a well-deserved victory over Al-Zawraa with a score of 2-0, in the match that brought the two teams together this evening at the International City Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the Iraqi Stars League, amid a remarkable audience presence and a great enthusiastic atmosphere.

Both teams entered the match with high ambitions, as Al-Zawraa sought its first victory in the local competition this season, while the Air Force aimed to confirm its strong return and continue its positive results, ultimately securing the match with a clean double.

The first goal for the Air Force came early through player Mohammed Jawad from a penalty kick in the 6th minute, giving his team the advantage right from the early minutes of the match, which disrupted Al-Zawraa's plans as they attempted to come back in vain.

In the second half, the Air Force continued to dominate, with Tunisian Haitham Al-Jouini scoring the second goal in the 62nd minute, confirming the Falcons' superiority over their traditional rival in this highly anticipated encounter.

With this victory, the Air Force raised its points to 9, moving up to advanced positions in the league standings, while Al-Zawraa's points remained at just 2, increasing the pressure on coach Abdul Ghani Shahed, who has failed to achieve any local victory so far.
