Lewandowski.. The Main Weapon for Barcelona Against Sevilla
Sunday 05-10-2025
The Spanish newspaper 'Sport' confirmed that Polish star Robert Lewandowski is considered one of Barcelona's most important weapons in the upcoming match against Sevilla, due to his impressive scoring record against the Andalusian team.

The newspaper explained that Lewandowski, who is 37 years old, is having a different season with Barcelona after losing his starting position, yet he remains a crucial element in coach Hans Flick's lineup, having scored four goals in La Liga so far.

'Sport' added that the absence of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal from the anticipated match will give Lewandowski a great opportunity to return to the starting lineup alongside Ferran Torres and Marcus Rashford, especially since the Pizjuán Stadium is one of his favorite venues, where he has scored in all his previous matches.

The newspaper pointed out that Lewandowski scored three goals against Sevilla in the last two matches between the teams, and he had previously scored seven goals against the current Sevilla goalkeeper when the latter was a player at Benfica.

The newspaper concluded that Lewandowski hopes to repeat his past brilliance against Sevilla, after contributing to Barcelona's significant victories last season with scores of 4-1 and 5-1, emphasizing that the Polish striker still represents a decisive factor in the attacking line of the Catalan team.
