The Students team succeeded in achieving a precious victory over their guest Duhok with a score of 2-1, in the match that took place this evening, Friday, at the International City Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the Iraqi Stars League for the 2025-2026 season.

The "Elegant" team entered the match with high concentration, quickly translating their advantage into a lead with a goal scored by Saif Rashid in the 24th minute, giving his team the upper hand since the middle of the first half.

In the 45+3 minute, Duhok faced a painful blow after their striker Sambo was sent off with a direct red card, forcing the team to complete the second half with ten players, which complicated their task of coming back in the score.

At the start of the second half, the Students continued their pressure, doubling the score with a penalty successfully executed by Tanzanian striker Simon Musuva in the 67th minute, amidst great joy from the team's fans.

However, Duhok's response was not delayed, as Karim Darwish managed to reduce the deficit in the 69th minute, attempting to bring his team back into the match. Despite Duhok's late attempts, the Students' defense managed to maintain the lead until the final whistle.
