Saudi press reports revealed that Merih Demiral, the player for Al-Ahli Saudi Club, has begun a treatment and rehabilitation program following a recent health setback.
The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" stated that the player suffered from a severe influenza, which caused him to miss the match against Al-Duhail of Qatar in the AFC Champions League and the match against Al-Hazm in the Saudi league.
The newspaper confirmed that the player participated in limited parts of the training sessions in the last two days, awaiting improvement in his physical and medical condition before fully participating in the team's training.
Al-Ahli is set to face Al-Shabab on Friday, October 17, in the fifth round of the Saudi Professional League.
