Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim continues to stir controversy regarding his future at Old Trafford, amid the team's declining performance during the current season of the Premier League.

According to a report published by The Athletic, Jim Ratcliffe, the owner of Manchester United, insists on keeping Amorim at the helm of the coaching staff, as he wishes to give him the full opportunity until the end of the season.

Manchester United is suffering from a series of repeated negative results, which are not much different from previous seasons, the most notable being the early exit from the EFL Cup at the hands of Grimsby Town, one of the fourth division clubs.
