The Saudi Al-Ahly Club announced the appointment of Portuguese Rui Pedro Baraz as the Sports Director of football.
Pedro assumed his position at Al-Ahly after the end of his tenure with Portuguese club Benfica.
Rui Pedro worked with Benfica for 5 seasons, during which he delivered outstanding sports performance.
Pedro contributed to several achievements during his time at Benfica, where the Portuguese club won league titles, the Portuguese Cup, the Super Cup, and the UEFA Youth Champions League, in addition to qualifying for the UEFA Champions League 5 times and reaching the quarter-finals twice, as well as the Club World Cup in 2025.
