Surprise in the Market Value of Vinicius Junior
Thursday 02-10-2025
Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Transfermarkt, a site specialized in evaluating the market values of players, has released its new report on La Liga players, revealing a noticeable decline in the value of Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, a player for Real Madrid.

Vinicius's value dropped from 200 million euros in December 2024 to 150 million euros currently, after reaching 170 million euros last June, marking the second consecutive decline for the player.

Blasio, the market valuation officer for La Liga at Transfermarkt, explained that Vinicius has lost part of his status since he did not win the Ballon d'Or a year ago, and with the change of coach at Real Madrid, his role within the team has become less significant, which has reflected on his market value.

The report also noted the decline in the value of several other players such as Gavi by 40 million euros, Marco Asensio by 30 million euros, Eduardo Camavinga by 50 million euros, and Rodrygo by 80 million euros.

In contrast, the value of some new Real Madrid players has seen a noticeable increase, most notably Franco Mastantuono, whose value rose to 50 million euros, and Arda Güler, who reached 60 million euros, becoming the most expensive Turkish player in history, along with Álvaro Careras at 50 million euros, and Housen at 70 million euros.

The report concluded by confirming that Lamine Yamal, the star of Barcelona, still holds the title of the most expensive player in La Liga with a value of 200 million euros, ahead of Real Madrid duo Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham, each valued at 180 million euros.
