Tebas Attacks Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain
Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, launched a strong attack on some major European clubs, notably Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, accusing them of breaching financial rules for many years.
Tebas stated in his remarks that European football is facing a clear disparity in financial systems between leagues, pointing out that the English league suffers from accumulated losses due to debts, unlike the Spanish league which is subject to strict financial oversight.
The La Liga president added that Manchester City has been losing money and cheating since the arrival of its new owners, while Paris Saint-Germain has incurred losses amounting to 200 million euros over seven consecutive seasons.
Tebas clarified that Spanish clubs, despite the financial restrictions imposed on them, still achieve remarkable results on the continental level, emphasizing that La Liga surpasses the English league with 30 European titles during the current century.
