Roma Terminates Contract with De Rossi by Mutual Consent After a Year
Thursday 02-10-2025
Italian club Roma has ended its association with former coach Daniele De Rossi after just one year since his dismissal, according to the Spanish newspaper "Marca".

De Rossi was dismissed from his position in September 2024, despite his contract with the club being extended until 2027. According to the newspaper, the club's management and the Italian coach reached an agreement to terminate the contract by mutual consent, with De Rossi and his staff waiving a significant portion of their remaining financial entitlements.

The newspaper clarified that the relationship between the two parties did not break despite the dismissal; rather, it ended in a very amicable manner, as evidenced by De Rossi's recent appearance in Trigoria, where he participated in the opening of a stadium dedicated to the late Roma legend Giacomo Losi.

With this decision, De Rossi is now free to sign with any new team, while Roma's management benefits from the savings on the salaries that were allocated to him and his coaching staff, keeping the door open for a potential return to the club in the future.
